The JIAWANSHUN Electric Coffee Roaster Machine
This electric coffee roaster fits handily on a countertop. You can easily check the status of your roast through the glass cover. It has a rotator rod inside that’s removable and easy to clean. It is a multi-purpose roaster that also roasts nuts, seeds, and more.
Who is This Coffee Roaster Machine For?
Beginners who are interested in roasting their own coffee beans will find that this product requires very little effort. If you’ve ever roasted coffee beans manually, you’ll enjoy roasting beans that you don’t have to constantly watch. This product is great for anyone who wants to create their own special coffee roast.
The large capacity roaster can hold up to 800 grams of beans, but I recommend you only roast up to 600 grams to achieve an even roast. Fewer beans in the roaster also mean a shorter roasting time.
The roaster has a 45-degree slope that makes rolling the beans easier.
This is also a multi-purpose roaster. You can use it to make popcorn, roast nuts, melon seeds, and more.
This coffee roaster comes with a 30-day return policy. If you don’t like the product, you can return it for any reason. After 30 days, the company will reissue parts for free.
You have two voltage options to choose from- 110V or 220V.
The rotating rod inside is elevated and prevents the beans from sticking. This allows the beans to roll more evenly.
How To Use the JIAWANSHUN Electric Coffee Roaster
Using this coffee roaster couldn’t be easier. First, plug it in and turn it on.
Turn the temperature setting to 240oC and let the roaster heat up. This will take about 12-15 minutes.
In the meantime, measure out up to 600 grams of raw coffee beans.
Once the roaster has heated up, remove the lid, pour the beans in, and put the lid back on.
You begin to hear a cracking sound that sounds like popcorn popping. This is the first crack and this breaks the chaff from the beans.
After another five minutes or so, you’ll hear the second crack. In the second crack, the chaff breaks away from the beans. The beans will change color as this happens.
Check the beans periodically until you reach the desired color.
Once roasting is complete, turn off the roaster. Remove the lid and pour the beans into a colander or sifter.
Once the beans feel cool to the touch, move the beans around by hand to further separate the chaff from the beans.
Once the beans are poured in, the temperature will drop. It’s a good idea to have a separate thermometer to check that the temperature rises back up to 240oC.
The whole process can take anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour, depending on how dark you want your beans.
You only need to check the beans periodically. You don’t have to stand over them as you do with other coffee roasting methods.
Here is a quick video showcasing how diverse the roaster is, please have a watch before you continue on.
How is Using The JIAWANSHUN Electric Coffee Roaster Different From Other Methods?
There are certainly many ways to roast your own coffee beans. The key difference is the time it takes to roast coffee beans. With a manual method, such as in the oven, it will take an hour or more depending on how dark you want your roast. There is also the popcorn maker, which can also roast coffee beans, but does not produce an even roast.
It only takes about 45 minutes to use the JIAWANSHUN Electric Coffee Roaster. You just need to check the color of the beans from time to time to get your desired roast.
